Medication Abortion Pill in Memphis

The medication abortion option uses a medicine known as mifepristone, commonly known as RU-486 or the abortion pill. For this option, your pregnancy must be between 6 weeks and 9 weeks pregnant based on the dating ultrasound performed in our clinic. The ultrasound usually corresponds with the time since your last normal menstrual period. Some of the medicines used in the medication abortion may cause serious birth defects if the pregnancy continues.
